As friends, we both had been in the Quarter Horse Business for many years, with diversified success. We formed a lasting partnership on a 50 acre homestead in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin in 1988. In 1998 we sold the ranch in Fond Du Lac and moved to Lexington, Oklahoma, where we remained until moving to our present location in the Heart of America- Carthage, Missouri.

Our combined experience in the equine industry spans 95 years with success in varied disciplines including Western Pleasure, Reining, Cutting, Barrels, Poles and our true love, Halter. We have been fortunate to have owned and shown some of the truly great horses of our time and have always been thankful for the champions that we have raised and those that we have conditioned and brought to their full potential for our clients. There is no greater satisfaction than finding a "Diamond in the Rough" and making it a champion.

In recent years our young horses have been our passion and we have focused on futurity and world show weanlings & yearlings. For some time we worked on only our own individuals but one thing led to another and 88 Bar Ranch began to accept a few horses for close friends, The Rest is History!

88 Bar Stallions, although 88 Bar does not presently own or stand a stallion, many fine sires and show horse stallions have been owned and promoted by the Ranch, such stallions as: Isle Breeze, Conclusive Lee, Adonnis, A Legend At Last, and Gangstah. 88 Bar Ranch offers fitting and conditioning for show and sales as well as year round mare care and foaling services in a small, intimate setting.  We encourage our amateur owners to show their own animals and spend a great deal of time in developing their own proper personal appearance as well as their presentation in the show ring.

88 Bar Ranch is dedicated to the promotion of the American Quarter Horse. Our philosophy has always been "Quality not Quantity"  and we strive to make our cllients our friends. We have many great  memories due to our  wonderful clients and their superb animals and look forward to making many more champions, friends and memories in the years to come.
